Device agent status

Idemeum cloud keeps track of each device agent by recording the last check-in time to display the agent health status.

Overview

Every time idemeum desktop agent checks in with the cloud, the time stamp is captured and the health status is updated. There are several ways agent communicates with the cloud:

  • Agent reaches to cloud every 6 hours in order to retrieve the latest settings, rules, and configuration changes
  • Every time you login to computer with JIT account or perform elevations, the agent also reaches out to idemeum cloud

Based on the latest timestamp the agent health status is displayed in the cloud portal (Devices section):

  • Healthy - the last check is no more than 1 day ago
  • Unhealthy - the last check in is between 1 day and 3 days
  • Out of service - the last check in is more than 3 days

If you hover over the status badge, you will see the last check-in timestamp.
