Local user management

Leverage idemeum cloud directory to onboard IT admins or MSP technicians.

Create local user

With idemeum cloud directory you have full control over lifecycle and can create, update, or delete user records.

  • Navigate to Users -> User Management section
  • Click Add user
  • You will now be able to create a user record for your user:
    • First and last name - enter user first and last names
    • Corporate email address - enter the email address that will become the user identity in the MSP tenant
    • Username - username will be automatically generated, or you can update it based on your requirements and notation
    • Personal email address - optional email address that can be used for user mobile onboarding
  • Technician will receive an email invitation to specified email addresses

User can now install idemeum mobile application, verify specified email address or phone number in the mobile app, and scan the QR-code at the idemeum portal to be onboarded.

Disable local user

Before deleting idemeum allows you to disable local user first. When you disable local user access to resources is blocked, and the local user status will transition from Active to Disabled. You can re-enable the user back when necessary.

  • Navigate to Users -> User Management section
  • Click ... next to a user that you want to disable
  • Click Disable user

Delete local user

User record needs to be disabled before it can be deleted.

You delete user record from idemeum cloud. All access to resources will be immediately lost and the record will be permanently removed from idemeum cloud tenant.

  • Navigate to Users -> User Management section
  • Click ... next to a user that you want to disable
  • Click Delete user

Manage user sessions

When users access idemeum application portal using mobile or browser, a user session is created. At any given point in time there can be multiple active sessions for the user. You can view all active user sessions as well as revoke them.

  • Navigate to Users -> User Management section
  • For the user that has been onboarded to idemeum click on ...
  • Click Acive sessions
  • You will now be shows a list of active user session grouped by platform. You will see additional information such as location, platform type, OS version, and IP address. You can revoke the session by clicking on the Trash icon.

Promote to global admin

You can promote any user in your local directory to become a tenant global admin. That means that user will be able to access the admin dashboard and configure all tenant settings.

  • Navigate to Users -> User Management section
  • For the user that has been onboarded to idemeum click on ...
  • Click Make admin
